1930s Belt/Silver Buddha Buckle

This beautiful belt belonged to a Hollywood starlet in 1938. The buckle may be older. It's amazing: huge, fastening with a big hook in the center of the two dancing Asian figures. This appears to be hand-carved metal that is at least partially silver. It is engraved with some type of hallmark on the back of buckle; seems to be in another language. The two parts of the buckle are sewn on the wide belt of black rayon crepe. The buckles could be easily changed to make a belt of your own creation!

The buckles are in #1 excellent condition; the belt is in good condition.
