Vintage 1960s Boho Velvet Hippie Dress

Here's a very rare vintage hippie/boho dress, the kind that was only sold in tiny boutiques and head shops (the same places that sold bongs and underground newspapers!).

Made in India, it is hand-dyed rayon velvet, with a hand-macrame neckline trimmed with real handmade glass beads. The top of the bodice is lined with green rayon.

The dress is fitted from the top to hips with princess seams, then flares out to the floor. It zips at one side and ties at the back of the neck.

The velvet is dyed in subtle colors, a sort of teal/slate blue, with pale yellow and some brown. The macrame is heavy rayon cord in a china blue.

The size is marked medium.

Hips - 44"

Length in all - 61"

In #1 excellent condition: like new!
