1970s Vintage Men's After Six Velvet Trim Tux Coat

Here's an excellent and hard-to-find vintage formal tux jacket (or coat) by After Six. This is from the early Seventies and is of a much higher quality than some later After Six pieces. The fabric is a smooth black worsted wool, light to medium weight, trimmed with silk sateen and black rayon velvet.

The style is a Neo-Edwardian cutaway design. It is worn open and has long tails in back. There is one chest pocket and one hidden inside.

The size is marked 44 regular; it measures:

Chest - 48" (approximately, worn open)

Length in back - 39"

From shoulder seam to seam - 18"

Sleeves - 24.5"
