1970s Vintage Boho Hippie Dress

For the total earth hippie look, check out this pretty, elegant long dress from the Seventies. By "Supercraft". This is a made-in-India dress made before Indians caught on and started selling us the cheaper example of the hippie look.

This is made of a fine, hand-printed, 100% cotton, in rust, black, and off white. The fabric is lightweight and almost sheer. It falls in generous gathers, so you don't get that too-sheer look.

There are insets at the front and back of the waist and at the shoulders, from where the fabric is gathered. This creates the extreme fullness of sleeves, bust, and skirt.

It has long black cord ties at the sides, which are wound with gold thread with black glass beads dangling from the ends.

The only other closure is a button tab at the deep V-neck in back. In fact, the neckline is very low all around.

This is so unique and beautiful it could be worn as a funky evening gown!

The size is marked large, but the dress could be worn by a few different sizes since it has the ties.

It measures:

Bust - 46" (maximum, should be worn loose)

Waist - 36" (tighten this with side ties)

Hips - Full

Length - 56"

In #1 excellent condition: like new!
